Our Story

Supporting organisations for over 25 years

Established in 1999, Haemata, meaning ‘strong-growing’, began as a single seed, grounded in its mission to contribute positively to the growth of te reo Māori as a living, thriving, and vibrant language in Aotearoa. Today, our work spans education, leadership, and capability-building, supporting organisations, educators and communities nationwide.
